about
“Originally written and performed by Chic, I first heard it covered by Robert Wyatt not long ago. It’s in part a break up song, but it goes beyond that. There’s something beautiful about the ambiguity of the song. The verses are quite personal, and then there’s this huge, ecstatic yet melancholy chorus. I love Robert Wyatt’s version of it too. His wizardly voice and that lead synth line that give it a special edge. It’s a big tune.”

This is absolute genius. Each song has its own unique mood, but what they all have in common is that they take their time, allowing the lush, patient, dazzlingly imaginative arrangements to gradually blossom. There are a dizzying variety of instrumental textures, pleasure and wonderment around every turn. I'm getting hints of Will Oldham circa "Arise Therefore," though that album is much more spare. Proof that "experimental" doesn't necessarily mean noisy. Joe Madden

Well, does it live up to the hype? It's okay, not as good as 'Loops' or the 'Fenella' stuff; i doubt i'll be listening to it in full very often.
Her mojo is waneing in my 'umble opinion. vykr
